EPTA REVOLUTIONISES THE FROZEN FOOD DEPARTMENT WITH THE NEW SKYEXPO AND SKYSET WELLS BRANDED BONNET NEVE
Epta revolutionises the frozen food department with the innovative range of horizontal negative refrigerated cabinets SkyExpo and SkySet which, respectively double and single-well, are characterised by aesthetics coordinated with the family feeling of the SkyEffect line of Bonnet Névé.
The constant evolution of refrigerated furniture dedicated to subzero products, a priority for Epta and evident in these two new Bonnet Névé models, responds to the specific needs and the most recent trends of Large-Scale retail trade.
The Annual Report on the Consumption of Frozen foods , published in June by IIAS – Istituto Italiano Alimenti Surgelati – (Italian Frozen Food Insitute) shows the continuous unprecedented growth in the frozen food sector.
New all-time high in the consumption of frozen food in Italy
2022 marked the new all-time high in the consumption of frozen foods in Italy, touching the million tonnes mark, a little more than 990 thousand to be exact, with an increase of 1.2% compared to the previous year. This important result, associated with the increase of 16.8 kg in annual consumption pro capite, has also translated into an increase of 9% of the sector, with a turnover which has reached 5.3 million euro.
SkyExpo and Skyset make space for frozen foods
The negative temperature refrigerated furniture SkyExpo and Skyset branded Bonnet Névé make room for frozen foods, in terms of exhibition capacity, with an increase of 8.75% of exhibition volume compared to preceding models, thanks to the load line at 435 mm, on a par with the same floor space.
The centrality of subzero products is also enhanced by the wide glazed panels and by the minimalist design which, with finishes and silkscreen print available in two shades of grey, characterise the aesthetics of these new models, in favour of a greater visibility of the products on show.
In addition, SkyExpo and Skyset, enhanced at the level of energy class from E to D, are the first well islands, belonging to the remote cabinets, to be fitted as standard with the digital diagnostic platform SwitchON of EptaService, featuring evolved functions that guarantee perfect preservation of frozen foods.
To conclude, in contrast to the overall trend of food consumption, frozen foods are more appreciated[1] because they are considered practical by 70% of consumers, like fresh products from a nutritional point of view by 22%, economically convenient by 39% and, finally, 62% consider them to be valid allies in the diversification of menus and against food waste.
