INTERMARCHE – ETIENNE MARCEL – PARIS (FRA) – BONNET NEVE
Epta – an independent global player and leading specialist in commercial refrigeration – has completed a major outfitting project for the new Intermarché store located on Rue Etienne Marcel, right in the heart of Paris. Furnished with refrigerated cabinets from its Bonnet Névé brand, the store has opted for a fully Integral refrigeration solution, offering a highly attractive opportunity for proximity Retail in terms of performance and energy efficiency.
Located on the bustling Rue Etienne Marcel in the 2nd arrondissement, just steps from the city’s main attractions, the new supermarket has been developed within a historic former post office. The conversion project preserved the original spirit and distinctive architecture of the building.
Blending tradition and innovation, the Haussmann-style setting provides the perfect backdrop for a dynamic urban retail space. State-of-the-art solutions have been designed to offer a seamless shopping experience for both Parisians and the tourists who flock year-round to the city center.
WITH EPTA, EVERY CHALLENGE IS AN OPPORTUNITY: A TAILOR-MADE PROJECT
With this project, Epta once again proves its expertise in designing custom refrigeration systems tailored to the specific needs of the Retailer and the store’s layout. Bespoke cabinet configurations were developed to maximize both the space and the appeal of the displayed products.
“Working within a historic building in the city center that was not originally designed for commercial use posed a significant challenge, which Epta overcame thanks to the responsiveness and problem-solving skills of its expert team – qualities that the client appreciated throughout every stage of the project,” says Cécile Marty, Trade Marketing Manager at Epta. She adds, “The two-level layout of the 840 m² retail space, the low ceiling height on the upper floor, and the absence of a machine room naturally led to the choice of Bonnet Névé’s extensive Integral range. These solutions proved ideal for this type of installation, also thanks to the contribution of Epta’s Energy Management division.”
The propane-based Integral models use 100% natural refrigerants and feature a fully integrated and pre-assembled refrigeration unit built into the cabinet itself. They combine the modularity and energy performance of remote cabinets with the installation ease of plug-in units.
