AN “ALL ROUND” INSTALLATION FOR BONNET NÉVÉ AT INTERMARCHE NEMOURS

A prestigious new location for the Bonnet Névé solutions chosen to furnish the Intermarché at Nemours. Bespoke refrigerated display cabinets were commissioned with a modern appeal and functional design, to satisfy specific requirements for the organisation of fresh and frozen foods departments within this store characterised by its circular structure – a completely original concept in France.

Intermarché has a surface area of 4,800 m2 inside the Coquelicots shopping centre, a former logistics centre that is shaped like the corolla of a flower. Once Customers have passed the row of cashier desks, they will find themselves in a central piazza overlooking all the departments which are arranged like flower petals in a dozen diagonal rows, reminiscent of a poppy (coquelicot in French) the emblem of the city and the symbol of the supermarket. It is an innovative layout that was designed to improve the visibility of products and make the shopping experience more pleasant.

Following a detailed analysis of the layout of the retail space, Bonnet Névé provided a complete range of tailor-made refrigerated units, which could form semi-circular walls and perfectly blend in with the store, replicating the “all round” effect, which is the core element of the project. Moreover, to guarantee an overall view of the entire fresh & frozen food departments from the entrance, lower cabinets like the frozen Cosmos ECO 4 were positioned at the top of the aisles, while vertical units, such as the positive Proxima RD or the negative Ampleo, were situated in the rear sections.

Stand out models among the chosen units include ad hoc versions of some of the top of the range Bonnet Névé solutions: Impact, which was awarded the prestigious Janus de l’industrie, integrates self-service fresh pre-packaged products with the freshest assisted self-service products, and the serve-over unit Maxima Modular Design of the Rev UP Family, which received a special mention at the German Design Award 2016. Specifically, these items of furniture, installed in the bakery section and the cured meats & cheeses and butcher departments respectively, play a key role in maintaining the loyalty of customers who love to be “pampered” by experienced and qualified sales staff who can offer advice and tastings of regional specialities and artisanal products.
